Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully. By using Site Layer, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Site Layer is an early-access product operated by Ali Khazan, based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. When Site Layer is incorporated as a Canadian company, these terms will be updated and you will be notified by email.
What Site Layer is
Site Layer is an AI-assisted operations tool for property managers. You upload documents about the buildings you manage, and the product helps you search those documents, answer questions, and draft communications and summaries.
The product produces drafts. Every output requires your review before you send, file, or act on it. Site Layer does not send emails, dispatch vendors, file documents, or take any other external action on your behalf without your explicit approval.
Early access
Site Layer is currently offered as a structured early-access pilot. During the pilot there is no fee. Either you or Site Layer may end the pilot at any time by written notice. If the pilot becomes a paid relationship, both sides will agree to those new terms in writing before any fee is charged.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You are responsible for any activity on your account.
You must have the legal right to upload the documents you put into Site Layer. You must not upload documents that contain personal information of people who have not consented, if consent is required under applicable law.
Acceptable use
You agree that you will not:
- Use Site Layer to break any law
- Use Site Layer to harass, discriminate against, or harm anyone
- Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or compete with the product
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
- Upload content that infringes anyone's intellectual property
- Use the product to generate content for the purpose of misleading or deceiving others
No legal advice
Site Layer is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. The product can answer informational questions and help draft communications, but it does not produce legal notices, does not replace a lawyer or paralegal, and must not be relied on for legal decisions. For legal matters — including tenancy disputes, evictions, regulatory compliance, and legal notices — consult a qualified legal professional.
AI output
Site Layer uses AI models that can make mistakes. Outputs can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. You are responsible for reviewing every output before you use it. Site Layer makes no guarantee that outputs are accurate or suitable for any specific purpose.
Your data
You own the documents and data you upload. You grant Site Layer permission to process that data for the limited purpose of providing the service to you. Site Layer does not use your uploaded documents to train third-party AI models.
Our software
Site Layer owns the product, its code, its design, and its brand. These terms do not transfer any of that to you.
Service availability
Site Layer is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uptime, uninterrupted service, or that the product will be free of errors.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Site Layer's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you have paid for the service in the prior twelve months, or one hundred Canadian dollars, whichever is greater. Site Layer is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.
Termination
You may stop using Site Layer at any time. Site Layer may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or if we discontinue the service.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Ontario. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date and notify early-access users by email for material changes.
